Phase amplification in spinodal decomposition of immiscible fluids with interconversion of species

چکیده

A fluid composed of two molecular species may undergo phase segregation via spinodal decomposition. However, if the can interconvert, e.g. change their chirality, then a phenomenon amplification, which has not been studied so far, emerges. As result, eventually, one will completely eliminate other one. We model this on an Ising system relaxes to equilibrium through hybrid Kawasaki-diffusion and Glauber-interconversion dynamics. By introducing probability dynamics, we show that particle conservation law is broken, thus resulting in amplification. characterize speed amplification scaling laws based Glauber size, distance critical temperature demixing.
